There's a fair amount of combat, which is quickly paced and requires some fast fingers to avoid getting hit by incoming attacks. The combat adds a bit of tension to some of the slower platforming sections. There are lots of little tweaks here and there that make each successive level more interesting than the last, but at its core, Rayman 2 is built as a traditional platformer. That means there are a lot of spots where precision jumping is required to avoid death. I think you can see where this is going The control scheme for the iPhone version is actually pretty good in theory, but in practice it's too imprecise for a game like Rayman 2.
