This one is a classic, literally. I enjoyed this game a decade ago, or so. I was so pleased to see that Amazon carried it. I purchased 'The Incredible Machine' for a friend's budding little engineer, age 7. After a little PC tinkering to make this Windows 95 era game compatible to play on Windows 7, everyone wanted a try. The endless levels of the 'Game' are only surpassed by the 'Make your own machine' part. As with most Sierra games, it has that cute cartoon appearance that never lets you forget that you're doing this for fun.

This version of the game does not run in DOS, it was designed for Windows 3.1. With some work I was able to get the program to run in Windows XP, but there was a graphics issue that made it unplayable. To really get this to run properly, I had to use DOSBox and Windows 3.1.As for the game itself, it is a great physics puzzle collection. I chose this particular entry in the Incredible Machine series because I played it a long time ago, probably in grade school. I'm still getting stumped for a good while by some of the puzzles!

Some of the puzzles make you think outside of the box to get things to work. This has got to be great for kids' critical thinking skills. On top of the included 160 puzzle challenge, there's the freeform mode which lets me build contraptions from scratch. You can make. This book is a fantastic journey through the human body! It has photos of a baby fetus and the blood vessels, and the insides of the lungs and whole wealth of information that is still relevant today. Although medical science has come a long way since 1986, this book is far from dated. The photo's are simply amazing rivaling the video from many TV shows dedicated to medical research.

I guess this shouldn't surprise me coming from National Geographic. This book has been an excellent compliment to my childs science books over the years. The photos alone make it an excellent book to own. I've never regretted the purchase although I've owned it for many years. I got this Rube Goldberg-esqe game for a buck at Target last year. My 4 year old wanted to play it, and enjoyed it, but it seemed really difficult. Until we realized there was a tutorial. The tutorial is EXCELLENT!

It speaks to you so even kids who can't read can find out how each and every item behaves. Once you know that, the rest of the game is pure fun! The puzzles are quirky and punny and silly and most importantly - make you think! Once he stepped through all the tutorial, he moved on to the EASY puzzles.

Tetris battle

He has conquered most of those with a little help and has moved on to MEDIUM. We like to sit and play the DIFFICULT and EXPERT puzzles together. And if you want - and my son does - you can build.

This is an older game, but it works on Vista and the graphics are fine for what they need to do. I've been playing this with my 7 year old daughter and have been having great fun with it's Rube Goldberg-esq puzzles. She needs a far amount of help, but she is getting the hang of it. Even the easy puzzles can sometimes be difficult and unfortunately you cannot go forward without solving each puzzle within a section (at least as far as I can tell.) Fortunately there is a walk-thru available on the Web which gives solutions in case you get stuck. Bender3D is one of the most popular 3D modelers.

It is open source and has been used in the making of many cinema productions, and in the development of many computer games. This book, Blender 3D 2.49 Incredible Machines, tells you how to construct machines that doesn't exist in our world, but belong to sci-fi or steampunk fantasy, and have amazing capabilities. This title is focused to those that already know how to model with Blender, and uses a project-based learning approach. You learn following several projects, that are like tutorials, and you learn the workflows, the tricks, and everything in this easy way.The author also gives you some hints on how is the usual workflow in a software (games) company.

You are given some concept art, and you model using them as a reference. These reference images can be downloaded from Packt Publishing's site. The book illustrates its lessons with 3 projects. So I bought this on treasure truck while visiting LA.the whole thing is very interesting. At first I was thinking why do I really need it. Then during the demo there, the guy said that Netflix works and now you have your own private theater!

I used it to watch Netflix and YouTube. Really good experience.but the main thing is that the headset is comfortable to wear for long period. There are tons of apps.and I like that I can watch my photos and videos even the VR ones in this headset. Finally VR for the non techies.easy to use. No PC or phone needed as well.

One minor thing.the headset that is included needs to be longer and the plug needs to be white not black.
